Dress-up Day!
At my new office Friday is declared as ‘dress-down day’ and people are allowed to wear casual outfits on Fridays. Ok, that’s something usual among private firms, but has anyone heard of something called ‘dress-up day’? :-)
Beginning from today, Monday is declared as ‘Dress-up Day’ here… Then we have three types of days in a week. Dress-up, Dress-middle and Dress-down. Eh Eh…

Jeans, T'Shirt, uncombed hair and unshaven face EVERYDAY over here. Woo hoo.
how american :)
My office is a 5 day full dressed scene.. but Since im in the back office.. i am in half sleeve, unshaven mostly and sometimes.. when i walk out of office.. people give me money out of sympathy :D lol :) but seriously.. my office sent me on a "How to look cool" cource recently.. It was some sort of a hint! But me knows how to look businessly cool.. yet i still in usual attire :D I want to work in hawaii.. along the beaches.. in a resort.. chilling and spilling all my drinks :D
I think in IT industry there shouldn't be much concern for dress-code.. Geeks are what with uncombed hair, full-grown beared and in jeans, working until wee hours,,,,
Only time you want to dress-up is to win over a project after that you should dress-down as above to show clients we are banging our heads in the code :P
hey hey, not everyone who works at a IT company and/or who has uncomed hair and unshaven face is a geek! :)
