Microsoft Released Windows Vista Pre-RC1 Build

Microsoft announced a new beta build of Windows Vista, which serves as an interim update while the company finalizes Release Candidate 1. Build 5536 is available to technical beta testers and MSDN subscribers, and includes a number of quality improvements. Happy that I am inside this group but need to boost my PC soon.

"This interim build is not widely distributed but does serve to underscore the progress the Dev and Test teams have made since Beta 2, while also confirming that we're still on track for the release of RC1 in the near future," wrote Microsoft product manager Nick White on the Vista Team Blog.

Half Gone...!

Half of the life is almost over now! Which is the best half? The preceding part or the rest? Well… what just concluded was the less responsible half and the next is the more accountable half, is it?

Whatever! Big thank goes to my Great Mum and my fiancé for all the exertion done for the celebrations, though I didn’t care much. Thank you!

Days pass by...

I was worn-down past few days due to a severe injury on a teeth and still undergoing certain surgical treatments.

It has been two weeks since I fluttered to Genesiis. I was slotted in to the J2EE team for a very short period for some supporting activities and then moved in to the good old .NET team. Though my J-folks influenced me a lot to stay with them, how can I turn my way back?

All the facts that I have heard of Genesiis before coming here, are seems to be precise. Everything, even very tiny things are smoothly compelled by standards and behavior. Yes there are some weird ethics too. (Better not to spell out) Anyway I feel splendorous to come and work here. And it’s a pleasure to know that bloggers are here too.

My new team is composed of 7 cool guys but unfortunately the main man is leaving the company and country from next week. Thanks Nishad for all endeavors you had when selecting me to Genesiis and for being generous and supportive for these small number of days!

Up to last week, my job as a developer was entirely stood on code syntaxes. 90% of the work load was based coding, coding and coding. But now life is not that easier, coding carries just a 20% weight on this new occupation. Half of life is filled with documentation, which is a very good thing and is taking a little time to get adopted.

New National Dress of Sri Lanka

By a chance I have seen some parts of the SAG 2006 opening ceremony on the television. And I became conscious that the Sri Lankan National dress code has changed and I guess it is espoused by Mahinda Chinthaka.

Almost all teams came out for the parade with their national costumes. Nepal and Burma teams were in their unique traditional dresses. The Ceylon team entered to the ground with the national dress + this all new ‘Chinthaka's sataka thing’.

A New Day!

I said good bye to e-Com Associates Inc. yesterday after being there from day one of the company, for more than two and half years, as I am joined hands with Genesiis Software today.

e-Com is the place from where I got the opportunity to learn how genious people, how generous people are there in the world and how idiot people, jerks are there in the world. It gave me the exposure to this industry and I learnt the abc of carrier life in this field from e-Com.

Lots of people came in and gone, I learnt something from each and everyone. I take my hat off for all you guys out there. The most important thing I got there is W#. Well he is the ONE.

My Guru, my boss, my friend, ……………… no words…

You are the biggest thing that I am gonna miss from the dawn of next morning. But you won’t be able to escape from me that easily, I’ll keep bothering you J Difference is you are not at my next desk from tomorrow. None has helped me as u did!

I am not that happy to say ‘Cheers!’ to e-Com. But because Wela and couple of other good people are still remaining there, I must wish them Luck!

I just started the second chapter of my IT Carrier by starting my work @ Genesiis as a SE today.

a New Day! New Strength!

Nothing is forgotten, Nothing is ever forgotten…!
